League of Legends Discord LFG Bot for Filling Every Role
Post an LFG message in Discord and you can still land five sign-ups with nobody on Jungle, or two people both calling Mid. Monvoke's /invoke command lets you register roles as recruitment slots, so a post finishes once the lanes are filled, not just once the headcount is.
Register five roles and let lanes decide when the group is full
When you create a post with /invoke, you define the roles yourself. Add Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot, and Support, and set each one to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 1. That turns "exactly one player per lane" into the shape of the post itself. Once someone hits Join, they pick their lane from a dropdown.
Headcount and lane coverage are tracked separately, so a group that has five people doesn't automatically mean all five lanes are covered.
Some servers care more about who's picking what champion than which lane someone's on. Champion names can go in as roles too, but for a general LFG post, sticking to Position as the main role and adding Champion only where a community actually wants it keeps the dropdown from turning into a full champion list.
The missing lane gets called out by name
Set a minimum and maximum for each role, and the post shows a warning only while that role is short or over. If Support is still empty, the message reads something like "Support needs 1 more," naming the exact lane instead of a generic headcount. A lane sitting at its target shows nothing at all.
These numbers work as a guide. A post can still fill even if Jungle never gets claimed. Nothing forces anyone into an empty lane, it's just visible enough that players sort it out on their own before queue time.
Once lanes fill, the notification and VC step are already queued up
When the member count is reached, every member gets a completion DM, and a voice channel menu shows up right on the post. Instead of someone spinning up a separate channel and re-inviting everyone before queuing, the dedicated VC gets created straight from the post. For how VC creation and pulling scattered members into it work, see Discord Recruitment to Voice Channel: What Happens Automatically.
Maybe replies and waitlist spots don't go to waste
Someone unsure about making it can hit Maybe instead of Join. That gives a way to catch a "I can fill Support if you need it" reply while lanes are still open, instead of only hearing from people who are already certain. If a spot opens up after the post fills, Waitlist bumps the next person up automatically. For the exact button behavior, see Features guide - Buttons.
Save the same lane setup as a preset
If your server runs the same 5v5 lane setup for ranked night after night, Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot, and Support can sit saved in one place instead of getting rebuilt from scratch each time. The post's settings screen has a field for naming and saving that configuration, and from then on /preset pulls up the same role setup in one command. Keeping a separate preset for ranked and for normals takes the Plus plan.
Running an in-house? Take the same group into /custom
Some nights are about a 5v5 among server members instead of queuing. For that, swap /invoke for /custom and set the member count to 9. Once the group is full, Monvoke splits the teams based on player rate, taking the matchup decision off the host's plate. For how the split works and how a reported result moves everyone's rate, see Discord Team Balance Bot for Custom Matches | Monvoke and Report the Result, Watch the Rate Move.
