Roblox Discord LFG Bot: Sign-Ups, Waitlist & VC

Roblox game nights don't have a fixed headcount: some nights you just need a couple of friends, other nights you're rounding up a bigger group and letting people join in turns as spots open up. Monvoke turns that sign-up into a single Discord recruitment message with a Join button, so nobody has to type "who's in?" and count replies by hand. Once the group fills, players who missed out land on a waitlist, and the host can spin up a voice channel just for that group with everyone's registered Roblox usernames posted right inside it.

Turn Roblox sign-ups into one Discord message with a Join button

A host runs /invoke on Discord, fills in a title, a description, and a number of members, and Monvoke posts a recruitment message with a Join button attached. The number of members doesn't count the host: to end up with six people total, enter 5. The host plus five members makes six.

Instead of typing their name into the channel, anyone interested just presses Join on the message. The member count and roster update on the message itself with every tap, so the host never has to scroll back through chat to recount who's in.

This works for any Roblox plan, not just a specific game. "Playing this Roblox game tonight," "meet in this server and we'll queue up together," whatever the night calls for. Put the game, start time, or how to reach the private server in the title or description, and members see it before they join.

Let unsure players flag Maybe instead of guessing

Some players want in but aren't sure they can make it yet. For them, there's a Maybe button instead of Join.

Maybe doesn't count toward the number of members, so the host can watch the confirmed slots fill separately from the "possibly" list. Once confirmed members and Maybes together reach the target, everyone still on Maybe gets a DM asking if they can join. Following the link in that DM and pressing Join on the recruitment message finalizes their spot.

Maybe doesn't reserve a slot, though. If confirmed Join responses fill the roster first, whoever's still on Maybe is treated as not joining. Anyone who wants a guaranteed spot is better off pressing Join from the start.

Keep a waitlist so a lobby drop doesn't kill the session

Once the number of members is reached, a Waitlist button appears on the recruitment message. Anyone who missed the cut can join the waitlist from there instead of asking in chat to be added "next."

If a confirmed member drops out later, whoever's first on the waitlist is promoted automatically and gets a DM letting them know. The host doesn't have to track who's next or message anyone directly.

Say six people are set for a session (five entered as the number of members) and three more are on the waitlist. If one confirmed member leaves, the person at the front of the waitlist takes their spot and the other two hold their place. For Roblox plans where the roster shifts more than once before you actually launch, this keeps you from losing people who wanted in.

Gather the group into a dedicated voice channel before you launch Roblox

The host can create a Dedicated VC from the action menu on the recruitment message. Only members of that recruitment can join, so it works as the meeting point for whoever's about to play together.

The host can also just use whichever voice channel they're already sitting in. If members are scattered across other voice channels, Gather pulls them into the host's channel in one action. No need to check who's where and ask them to move.

When everyone leaves the voice channel after the session, the channel deletes itself automatically. Running Roblox nights back to back doesn't leave a trail of unused temporary channels sitting in the server.

Share Roblox usernames in the voice channel automatically

Roblox game nights usually come with a moment of "what's your username?" It comes up for friend requests, or to invite someone into a private server. If members register their Roblox username ahead of time with /id, that username gets posted automatically in the Dedicated VC's own built-in chat as soon as they join it.

The list updates as people join later, too, so the host never has to dig through DM history or ask again. Anyone who hasn't registered a username just shows up with their Discord name instead, so the feature works fine even if not everyone has set one up.

Keep a standing Roblox hangout going with Autoroom

For a spot where Roblox regulars can gather any time, without tying it to a specific recruitment, Autoroom works well. Connect to a configured trigger channel and a personal voice channel is created automatically; it's removed once everyone leaves.

Splitting "join this channel to play Roblox" from "recruitment for tonight's session goes in this channel" keeps casual hangouts and organized sign-ups from blurring together.

Start on Free, move to Plus when you're running more sessions at once

Core recruitment, the Dedicated VC, Maybe, and the waitlist are all available on the Free plan. Free caps you at three recruitments running at once, which is plenty for smaller friend groups or servers that run one Roblox session at a time.

If you're running several Roblox sign-ups in parallel, or want a recruitment message to stay open for more than a day, Plus removes the concurrent-recruitment cap and extends how long a message stays active from 24 hours to 7 days.
