Discord Preset: Save Your LFG Post as a Reusable Template
Stop retyping the same LFG post every time
If you run the same ranked group every week, or open the same weekend scrim, you're probably filling in the same title and description in the /invoke form every single time. Monvoke lets you save a posted recruitment as a preset, so the next time you just pick its name with /preset. If you want to post something even faster, you can send a one-line Quick LFG message instead: just post description@number of members in a recruitment-only channel.
Both cut down on retyping, but they fit different situations. Presets are for a recurring recruitment with the same setup, like a role mention you always attach. Quick LFG is for posting on the spot without running a command at all.
Save a posted recruitment as a preset
There's no dedicated command to create a preset. You save one from a recruitment post you've already made. That's the only way to create one.
After posting with /invoke or /custom, click the gear icon on the recruitment message. This opens the recruitment settings modal, which has a "Save as preset" field. Enter a name and submit, and that recruitment's settings are saved as a preset. Only the host can open this settings modal, so only the host can save a preset from it.
It's the same entry point used to edit a live recruitment. That means you can also post with a slightly different setup than usual, then save that version as a new preset.
Run it with /preset, then change just the start time
Saved presets are run with /preset.
name(required): the preset to runschedule(optional): if set, runs the preset as a scheduled recruitment, using the same format asscheduleon/invoke
Leave schedule out and the recruitment posts with the saved setup as-is. For a weekly scrim where only the start time changes, keep the preset name fixed and just change schedule each time you run it.
Post one line instead: Quick LFG
You can also skip the command entirely and post a recruitment by sending a plain message in a recruitment-only channel. The format is one line:
description@number of members
For example, sending Weekend scrim, beginners welcome@5 posts a player-cap recruitment that closes at 6: the 5 you specified plus the host. Leave the count open-ended with @0 for an unlimited recruitment.
This only works if a recruitment-only channel has already been set up via /config. A message only becomes a Quick LFG post inside that channel; the same format sent anywhere else is just a normal message. Inside the registered channel, regular messages that don't match the format are deleted automatically, so avoid doubling it up as a general chat channel.
Presets run from chat, too
When the description text you send matches a saved preset name exactly, that line is read as a call to the preset rather than a new recruitment. The title, description, and mention target all post exactly as saved, and only the number after @ overrides the member count for that run.
If your weekly group is saved as "Friday ranked", sending Friday ranked@4 in the channel is the whole process. There's no command to open and no name to pick from a list, which helps when you're posting from a phone or one-handed while you're already in another call. Since the count is the one thing you set on the spot, a week that needs an extra player runs off the same preset without rebuilding it.
Clean up presets you no longer use
Running /preset-delete opens a modal listing your saved presets, where you can select which ones to remove. There are no parameters, and you can select several at once to delete in one go.
Only the preset's creator or a server admin can delete it.
The preset limit depends on your plan. If you're managing presets across several regular groups or games, check the Plus plan for details.
